I think anyone with this laptop might run into this issue or these issues, so pay attention if you might have it: 1. At boot, when you first install, -v -f -x -whatever does not help. BUT a cpus=1 will help you get to the install. The install will run, yada yada yada, finish, woo. Not so sure yet what doesn't work and what does so I will be updating here as I get the chance because I'm still downloading the combo update pack. Thanks Forum, you helped so much New(3/5/11): 1. I have found that using the iBoot Legacy gets rid of the need to type in a cpus=1 2. After the 10.6.6 Combo Update, it forced me to restart(as in the gray screen appears and says you need to restart. Don't know what the hell this is about) 3.Īpple boot hangs at AppleIntelPowerManagement, so I've searched around and am in the process of installing OSX on my second partition so I can get into the extras folder of my Primary and delete that kext to see if that'll help it work.
